Patient to me: "I just couldn't stand this abdominal pain any more, so I got to thinking.... maybe I could do surgery on myself, just cut myself open and do some surgery to fix it myself."
Me: "And now that you're reflecting back on that thought... what do you think, was that a good idea?"
